SVS 5th October

The Sisters Grimm are SORRY to announce the next Spring View Soul night has been cancelled on Saturday 5th October.

A close friend of ours is holding a 50th Birthday party on the same night. To reduce disappointment we have decided to postpone the soul night to a later date.

With our very own Grimm DJ's doing a set its guaranteed to be a great night.

Playing Northern Soul, Motown and a bit of Stax. Strictly all vinyl!

We are dedicating a £2 door charge and raffle in aid of the Stroke Association.

Good music, great company and talc provided.

To get you in the mood here's another Baby Grimm playlist:

1.      Ray Charles - Something inside me

2.      Soul brothers six - Some kind of wonderful

3.      Gwen Owens - Just say you're wanted

4.      Otis Redding - Lovin by the pound

5.      The Steinways - You've been leading me on

So far so good...

Spring View Soul was started by Happy, Missy and Lou Wignall aka Sisters Grimm Promotions in the summer of 2012 to fill a gap in the market for a local, friendly and more importantly “Northern” soul event in Spring View.

Hosted at Spring View Community Club, all proceeds go back into the local community either supporting the rugby or football teams which use the ground.

The original line-up included DJ’s Neil Edwards and Colin Coombes (Soul @ Stubshaw) but has grown to include guest spots from other local DJ’s on the soul scene including the Wigan Young Souls.

Even the Sisters Grimm get involved, with Happy taking the reins and passing them onto Missy! Lou Wignall is the social butterfly of the trio, making sure everyone is having a good time and the Sambuca is flowing

All our music played is 100% vinyl and 100% soulful and even if you don't dance just come down for a listen or watch the professionals show you how it’s done (Happy has even taken to specific leg exercises in the gym to keep up!)

Over the past twelve months we have built up a regular fan base of soulies who enjoy the family-run atmosphere but as always we are on the lookout for new faces and new places in which to spread the Sisters Grimm love xxx
